A more efficient solution for our city homeless crisis is thorough partnerships and support with our faith-based and service organizations. They deliver the most cost efficient services for the immediate needs of the homeless. Further solutions include 1) jobs skills training to give them purpose and be productive; 2) temporary housing which are modified shipping containers; 3) pressuring Sacramento legislature to enhance mental health offerings and qualifications and 4) reverse Proposition 47 and 57 which released prisoners into our community, creating our homeless problem and increase crime. It is not only a state or federal issue but a community issue created by Sacramento and Washington policy makers. They broke it now they should fix it.
